Dr. Carruthers studied Science at University of Alberta and then graduated cum laude (2000) from Northwestern University of Health Sciences in Minneapolis. She owned a practice in Edmonton for six years before moving to Lethbridge in 2006. After being involved in two significant car accidents, Dr. Carruthers became interested in the treatment of soft tissue injuries. She pursued certification in Active Release Technique®, Graston Technique® and is currently studying acupuncture.

In her free time, Dr. Carruthers loves to run, ski, play squash, cook, and practice Pilates. She is also a board member and volunteer for Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
