Do I need a referral before I consult your clinic?
No, you do not require a referral to consult Health First.
Does insurance cover the cost of treatment?
Many private insurance plans offer chiropractic and massage benefits. Different plans cover different amounts towards your treatment. You may also have a health spending account that can be used towards treatments. Seniors over the age of 65 who reside in Alberta may have coverage under Blue Cross. Please check with your individual insurance carrier for details. If you have questions about your insurance coverage, please contact us! We would be happy to help you get the answers you need.
What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask for 24 hours notice when canceling or re-scheduling an appointment. This allows us to better serve others who may be on a waiting list for an appointment.
Will you bill my insurance directly?
Yes, we direct bill for many private insurance companies. Please call our office if you have questions about a specific insurance company. Motor vehicle accident claims and WCB claims are also billed directly so that no out-of-pocket costs are incurred by you.
I have been injured at work. Can you handle my claim?
Yes, Health First is a WCB-accredited clinic.
I had a motor vehicle accident. Can I be treated at your clinic?
Yes, if you have been in an MVA we can provide treatment for your injuries. Remember, that injuries should be reported within 9 days of the incident. Depending on the severity of your injury, you may qualify for care from a chiropractor, acupuncturist, physical therapist, or massage therapist.
